False Alarm
After picking up my essential vegetarian/organic goodies at Trader Joe's Wednesday night, I stopped in to the Goodwill on Morse Road. I'm glad I did. Not only did I run into my friend Rachel and her boyfriend Tommy, I also ran into a pretty sweet sale. Apparently, the store is moving to another location, so they are trying to get rid of their inventory. Which means I snagged this vintage romper for $2 and some change. This is, believe it or not, my first romper. I must have been the only blogger/ indie music lover/ fringe hipster who didn't own a romper until now. Obviously, this piece had a spring/summer vibe to the print, so I tried to tone it down with brown and some boots. Did I succeed? I feel like I'm just transitioning into Autumn, but it was actually supposed to snow here tomorrow! False alarm. They have since changed the forecast, but I feel like it might turn out to be another long Midwestern winter nonetheless.

Definitely made it work for fall! The boots and dark colors help ground it!
ReplyDeleteThat jumper is adorable! It looks great on you. And leather boots are one of my favorites for this fall.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you (or former you) in the camp of those bloggers/indie music lovers/fringe hipsters who don't own a romper. I had one but returned it, as it was just too short and I felt like a 5 year old from the 70's. I'm keeping my eye out. I love love love yours, so maybe I'll get Goodwill lucky, too! Yours looks fantastic w the tights and boots.
ReplyDeleteI love this entire look, especially the boots!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I came across your blog - I am your newest follower!

So cute, but how do you pee? Do you have to take off everything?? That's why I can't get behind the romper trend.
