Why, hello there. It's been a while again, eh? Apologies. Endless, endless apologies. I've been having quite the time getting myself together lately. I love my job, but sometimes the 40-hour work week there can be exhausting, not to mention time consuming. Plus there's all of the reading, writing, and studying that I have to do for my graduate classes. Add in my half-hearted attempt at having a social life, and that leaves me with pretty much zero time to blog.
And I've been in a bit of a shitty mood since my winter romance crashed and burned. It was only a couple of months, but I really cared for him. Nothing awful or dramatic happened (not my style), and I'm certain that we'll still be friends, but it's a little hard on the heart nonetheless. Sigh. But anyway, I'm trying to make an effort these days. Though now I've misplaced the battery charger for my camera and the power is on its last legs. Bloody hell!
I stumbled upon this Kensie dress at Goodwill a few weeks back. I'm simply delighted with it. I think I've worn it at least a dozen times within the last month or so. It's just so easy to style with tights and boots. On days I'm feeling fancy, I add a cardigan and belt (I wore this belt backwards because I like all of the detail to show in the front... is that strange?) Also, the long sleeves help to hide my still-healing tattoos. Oh yeah, I got tattooed again last week! I got two tattoos on my right forearm and I'm absolutely smitten. Once they're healed a bit more, I'll share a photo.
Alright, that's all for now, kids. I've got a glass of red wine and some Margot & the Nuclear So and So's tunes a-waitin' for me. Time to heal this heart of mine a little bit (see previous statement about the romance crash-and-burn.)

I just ordered this hat online a few hours ago, oh those great minds are at work! You look simply stunning and these pictures are beautiful! I've missed your pretty face. I hope your heart heals soon, sending lots of love and hugs your way! xo
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Heather! I miss blogging... I really want to make more time for it.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, great minds think alike! We're going to be awesome in our matching hats!
Beautiful style and photos! Sorry about the broken heart. :(
ReplyDeleteLove the dress. What a great find! What Goodwill do you go to around here?
ReplyDeleteThanks! I found this dress at the Goodwill on Hamilton Road in Gahanna. But I pretty much go to all of the thrift stores around here... Goodwill on High St, Goodwill on Morse Road, Salvation Army on Morse Rd, the two Ohio Thrifts on Cleveland Ave, and the thrift store on Indianola. Plus the occasional trip to Rag o' Rama. I have a little bit of a problem! :) I'm trying my best to stay out of places like Mad for Mod and Flower Child... I'm pretty sure my bank account will be aching if I venture in there!
